PKT → Message forms, or SignalDeck Web’s Messages page. New ICS-213 (the General Message: to, from, subject, date, time, message, approved by) or New radiogram (number, precedence, handling, station and place of origin, time filed, date, to, phone, text, signature; the check, the word count of the text, is filled in for you).

Send or read

Read on air shows the form in large type to read over a voice net. Send by APRS splits it into APRS messages to a callsign (67 characters each, one every 12 seconds; the radio must be on an analog channel and your callsign set); Send by DMR text sends it to a contact or talkgroup in 120-character texts on a DMR channel; Send by Winlink puts it in the Winlink outbox as one e-mail to callsigns or e-mail addresses (the form laid out to read, so anyone can read it, plus a code line SignalDeck uses), sent at your next Winlink connection; Save keeps it in the list. Share sends the form as text through any app.

Receive

When another SignalDeck sends you a form, its parts (APRS messages addressed to you, or DMR texts) are collected, or it arrives whole in a Winlink message, and, once all are in, in any order, the form appears in the list with a notification and a history line. Reply starts a new form addressed back to the sender.
