Live captions

TXT turns received speech into text.

Captions

TXT shows live captions of received speech in the panel. The recognizer runs inside this app (Vosk); its language model downloads once on first use, is kept across app updates, and only an uninstall removes it.

Options

Long-press TXT to choose the engine (on-device, or Google Cloud Speech with your own API key), the size of the on-device model, or keyword alerts.

In the browser

SignalDeck Web shows the live caption and the last finished sentences on its Intercom page and has a TXT key beside SCAN, MON and REC. Its Transcripts page lists every caption the phone kept (newest first, with time, channel and caller), with a search that highlights what it finds and Download .txt; below it, Caption engine chooses on the phone (Vosk) or Google (your key, saved write-only), lists the on-device models with their size and whether they are on the phone, downloads and switches models (the phone downloads them over its own connection; progress shows on the page), deletes models not in use, and shows the phone’s free space.

Keyword alerts

Words or phrases that, when heard, vibrate the phone and post a notification; with voice announcements on they are also spoken.
